The Woodlands is a master-planned community located 28 miles north of Houston along interstate 45. It is in a heavily forested area and much of the community has retained trees for shade and decoration. When you drive through the Woodlands you can certainly see where the name came from and if you like lots of trees it's the place to be. Although it is a bedroom community it has attracted several major corporations which has of course increased the need for housing. Apartments have and are being built like crazy. Due to the fact that Houston in general draws people here due to job availability sometimes the apartment complexes will start becoming pretty full and it can get harder to find a vacant unit. As apartment locators we have not noticed that problem in the Woodlands as there always seems to be plenty of availability. On top of that it is not unusual at all to find some awesome move in specials going on at most times. The properties out there are extremely nice to go along with the beautiful scenery. When it comes to shopping, dining and entertainment you would never have to leave the Woodlands, they have it all including an awesome outdoor concert arena that hosts the top leading musical artists. They are also home to Woodlands mall, Woodlands waterway and much more. So if you are going to be in the market for a new apartment soon and you need somewhere in or near north Houston I would definitely look around the Woodlands!
